    Hi,
Does anyone know which would have the better insulation, a prefab or a shipping container?

There's no insulation in the majority of shipping containers. There's a small bit in prefabs. The shipping container is a far stronger build than the prefab and far more secure but they won't always suit because of the size and fact everything usually gets loaded from one side and it canbe a taste on the narrow side.

id say a foam sprayed container would be better insulated than a prefab

Have one here as a workshop.
Got it with the bare minimum. Ripped it down to the shell. Bulked up the insulation, lined the walls, and put in a suspendes floor.
If ye've a few bob it's alright. For working in it. Ye'd need a small-ish heater.
