While looking at my bird feeders today I was thinking I haven't seen a single redpoll all winter. I have a record number of long tailed tits and a mix of the regular winter birds but not a single redpoll. Anybody else notice a decline?

I had Redpolls visit last year, but haven't seen one at all this year.

It's always hit or miss in my garden with Redpoll. There are plenty in the neighbouring hedgerows and fields but they don't frequent the garden feeders too regularly.

I've four redpolls on the niger almost every day. Lovely birds

I have up to a dozen redpolls and a similar number of goldfinch - again favouring the niger and the sunflower kernels. However I've no Siskin at all this winter.

in my case, never had a redpoll in my garden until this year - now get a pair every day. Also noticed my brother on other side of town is getting redpoll regularly. Also new this year is long-tail tits, and siskin are back after a long absence.
