How do you clean your floors?

We have bright tiles in kitchen and hall. They are not the shiny ones and they have a beige fleck on them so should be fairly easy to keep. Or so I thought!
Washed twice a week but I can see every rub of the mop on them. Drives me insane. I am using a good industrial mop that I bought in a cleaning supply store but can anyone recommend a really good detergent that will get them sparkling clean??

I only use boiling hot water as recommended where I bought the tiles. I add a little fabric conditioner to give a nice smell.
I always wash the mop (washing machine) afterwards. It's an inexpensive one so I don't mind replacing it as needed.

My entire ground floor has the same light coloured tile throughout and it always looks clean.

Just fabric conditioner? No actual detergent?
Mop head gets washed in machine after every use. Floors themselves are actually clean, it's just the streaks that drive me demented

Have you thought about using a steamer? I use one on my tiles no streaks

The electric steam mops are good for tiles, quick to dry.

Yeah I would consider a steam cleaner if it left floors streak free. What one have you?

Hmm... use quarry tiles or some dark tile next time. Sweep regularly and wash once a month. No problem with streaks then :)
