How do I verify PPSN?

Howya.

To start with, I don't have a social or public services card. I've no letters from Revenue or Social Welfare Commission. I'm unemployed me whole life, so I don't have any tax documents or payslips. And I'm pretty sure I don't have a medical card.

Therefore, I basically can't verify my PPS number, so I can't apply for a learner permit.

How can I get this verification?

I suspect I can't just call Revenue or whoever else to request for that verification, and the only proof of my PPSN in my house is a scribbled reminder in a notebook.

So what else is there that I can do?

Fill in this online form using the written down PPSN. They'll post you out a letter in a few days with your past unemployment contributions. This should confirm you've got the correct number.

I'm not on the dole, either. So I don't think this is going to work.

Why not just go to Dept of social protection and get your number? If you're under 25 you'll have been issued with one at birth.

Just make an appointment with Intreo to get a public services card!
