doi want to change courses, grant effected ?

    Hi everyone,
    i am currently in year 1 of dental nursing. it was my second choice my first being general nursing.I wanted to apply again to general nursing but i am receiving the susi grand (full fees paid). I am a mature student and am getting on in years ;)so dont want to wait until next year to apply for general as it is 4 years!! has anyone any input into what will happen with susi ? tia

    AFAIK, you may not get the grant for the first year of your new course as it's treated like a repeat year - i.e. You're doing 1st year for a second time. Likewise, if your tuition fees were covered under the free fees initiative, you'll be liable to pay full tuition fees for 1st year of your new course.

    As above, you would not be eligible for year 1 of your new course.
    You could check if you are eligible to enter year 2 of general nursing based on the year at dental nursing.
    As the student support officer for advice in the college you want to attend general nursing.
