Hi All,
I was quoted 13,500 for air to water mitsubishi ecodan 11Kw with 200 litre cylinder and underfloor heating (supply, install and commissioning).  Is this a reasonable price for a 2600sq ft new build?
Also what are your views on mitsubishi ecodan?

What about your HRV system?

Have only 2 prices back for HRV at present and best price was 8300.  Company that priced underfloor and heat pump do not currently do hrv

Sounds a bit overpriced but Im definitley not an expert. I recently installed an IVT Air x90 A2W pump with UFH and a HRV system for €18,500. 2600 sq ft like yourself. And I definitley didnt shop around. I think I priced 3 places max.

Hi just wondering has anyone recommendations for installers around the Athlone area. Thanks

Ray did you get that price for installation as well or did you do it yourself?  Im not sure im going to go ahead with heat recovery anyway, so I am wondering is 13500 supplied and installed plus commission a decent price as it is the best I have had so far but have only received around 10-15 quotes back

That was for supply & install.

How do you plan to circulate fresh air around your fairly airtight ( I presume) house without a HRV system?

You're not leaving much to chance! :)

How many quotes before you consider it enough?

About to look into something similar myself pretty soon just to give me an idea of cost. I'd be hoping to go for A2W, UFH downstairs, Rads upstairs and MHRV. A PC Sum of €18,500 was given (apparantely that was being cautious) just for A2W and UFH. If I could get all three in around the price you got Ray Donovan I think I'd be very happy. House size is 2,444sqft.

Ray can you PM the company who sent you the price for all 3 supplied and installed at that price?  I am hunting all over the country to see who is the best value.  Some are extortionate.  The UFH and air to water supplied and installed is the best price by far that I have received.  If you can send me the companies info that would be great as I clearly must have missed them out somehow

I am assuming the price you have gotten is for heating only and excludes your domestic plumbing?

Yes it is, I have a local plumber doing that

I decided against MHRV as herself loves to have a window open and the little fella has an aversion to closing doors. I spoke to a guy in -snip- about DCV (Demand Controlled Ventilation). His view was, with a family like mine a DCV system would be a better fit. These systems are a quarter to third of the price of the MHRV. It hasn't been installed yet but just thought I'd mention it here as I've hasn't heard this system discussed on boards.
