    Hi

Insurance covers room costs but not consultant costs, just wondering can you opt for admission on semi private /private ward but public consultant care?

    Thanks

    According to the Coombe website:
" It is not possible for any mother booked as a public patient, and holding private health insurance, to use their insurance to ask for accommodation on a semi-private or private ward. If you hold and wish to use private health insurance for accommodation, you must choose to be treated as a semi-private, or private, patient at the time of booking."

Best thing to do is check with your own hospital
