    As the thread says
I recieved a confirmation email from the potential employer saying if selected for interview i would be contacted by phone on a certain date, that date passed and i recieved no call,so i contacted HR and was told that date was pushed out further,
Is it a no no sending an email confirming I'm still interested in the postion or let things take there course.

    Any info.would be great
    Thanks

Definitely send an email, at the very least it shows the employer that you are enthusiastic and have a bit of initiative, the date may have been pushed out due to the number of applicants so it could give you an edge over the other applicants. Just make sure the email is short and to the point and is well written with no mistakes, a badly written email could have your application binned immediately.

    Hi,

This happened to me before, it was just a case of bad timing due to budgets in the company and year end in March. Two months later i started the job, as previous poster says no harm in sending an email stating you are very interested in the job etc etc, well written, but straight to the point..

    It definitely shows your enthusiasm.
