Battery Question

    Well everyone,

I was wondering I have a stationary engine running a machine and it has one 12v battery fitted but I was thinking of fitting a second battery as sometimes in the cold especially it can be little lazy to start, the biggest battery it will take is 12v 143Ah so the idea was fit two 12v 70Ah in parallel.

Just wondering has anyone ever done this, did it make any difference or am I wasting my time should I just fit one 12v 138Ah battery,

    Any ideas / suggestions appreciated.

Going to be the same result. A lot of 4x4s are twinned and work grand once same type batteries. Are you lacking heat in the cold weather or is their age on your battery?

I was thinking that it might be the same but just had to check, the battery in her is only about three months old, good battery but it's only a 95Ah so might purchase a bigger Ah one.

    Thanks for the replyðŸ‘

What is the machine? Do you know the rating on the starter motor?

    The engine is a 4 cylinder hatz, off the top of my head it's a 12v - 2.7kW I think that's about 3.5 hp / 3.7hp
