Van insurance for non-English speakers

Does anyone know of how someone who has little to no English can get insurance for their van in Ireland?

In work I'm in contact with an Italian couple who have just moved to Ireland. They have asked me to help them with getting their van insured. They both have little English and we are using Google Translate to communicate, which is leading to some confusion!

Would a broker be open to a consultation and try to use google translate to try and get it done? Or is it all pretty much done over the phone nowadays for car insurance?

Face to face with a local broker could improve the communication for the very fact you each see your body language :)

I'd say any broker would welcome a business coming in. Worth trying.

Ths language barrier shouldn't be a cause for rejection by insurer but you may have to bring a translator and get all sorted out locally at an office.
Or just do everything online (again with someone who can translate)
