Need advice on a budget phone...

Hi, Im finally biting the bullet and buying a smartphone, my budget is around the 150 range, I really dont want to be paying more for a phone than that tbh.

I had my eye on this

Reviews seem good and its fairly cheap, im not looking for a top of the range model for my price range, just something that does what it says on the tin, a decent phone thats relatively speedy and cheap.

Any suggestions?

If you could stretch to it a Moto G4 would have a better spec than the Moto E.

Moto G4 has a octo-core processor and 2Gb RAM as opposed to a quad core and 1Gb.

£150 on Amazon ( they have a used one atm for £131).

My first smartphone was Moto E 1st gen and it slowed down very quickly. I have a Moto G4 Plus now. Go for the highest spec possible.

They have the G4 in Argos at he moment for 195, I suppose I could stretch it to that, I want to pay the least amount possible tbh because ive lost more phones on nights out and such than I care to remember, id hate to lose one worth that much.

Alcatel Idol 4 VR edition is €99 if you port a number to three pay as you go at the minute.

Snapdragon 617 processor, full HD 1080P 5.2" screen and 3GB of ram.

Unbeatable value at the moment imho.

The PAYG is changing from 30 days to 28 days and you lose any network weekend calls, but it's still be best deal in terms of DATA.

if you shop at tesco, 5 euro in clubcard vouchers gives you the 15 euro deal where you have unlimited calls and 10 Gigs data and you keep the 15 euro. I reckon this is a better PAYG deal
