    Hi all,

I hope this is a good place to ask, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the fate of Woodlands Golf Club near Coill Dubh in Kildare?

Latest I could find is the lands were sold at auction in 2013 (via a search on this forum), I'm looking at a house which is at the back of the golf course and just want to make sure a developer isn't going to put a massive housing estate on the site, but I haven't been able to find any news about it since 2013.

    Any info much appreciated!

As far as I remember it was going to be turned back into farmland, which will take a good few years because of all the stuff they use in the soil to keep up the golf course, an awful pity, I used to love the front nine on that course

Thanks for the info, farmland (or a golf course) is definitely preferable to a housing estate!

Defo, I remember some nice looking houses overlooking the golf course. Best of luck with the purchase

the problem you have is, once it is can be reused as farmland, Im sure there is nothing to stop the farmer looking for Planning if he wanted.
