Just looking for suggestions for somewhere to live that would be as short a commute as possible from both Sandyford and Clondalkin on public transport? (More important to be short travel time to Sandyford.) Thanks for any suggestions?

You are going to struggle to get anywhere that suits both of those areas.

For Sandyford, anywhere along the green luas will do. Ranelagh/Rathmines and Dundrum are probably the pick of the bunch but could be expensive. Whoever is commuting to Clondalkin will probably have to go into town first and head out from there rather than going direct.
