Just be aware the giant Sahara roamers may stop suddenly anywhere they like when dropping Tarquin off.
If you are in an urban area there could be a lot of bumper to bumper action going on, which is OK - barring hitting someone, you can't get into a lot of trouble while stopped in traffic.
The tester will probably try avoid places you just sit in traffic.
    Good luck.

thank you, I am in a urban area and anyway I go from the centre there is school traffic, hoping to go up early and get started early hopefully the tester will have the same idea as I have, I'm the first in the day so hopefully

I did my test buried in traffic for the entire hour, it's very hard to pick up faults sitting dead in traffic, treat it as an advantage!

At least you'll be driving slowly but just make sure you're very observant. As has been mentioned if you're near a school, people just stop anywhere and pull out again.

Watch your left mirror like a hawk. Slow moving 8AM traffic is prime time for cyclists who'd rather not go over the bumper :)

    Hi SB

I had my test at the same time last week. This is depending on where your test will be, but for me the roads were quiet until about half eight, by which time I was almost back in the test centre to be told I'd passed.

Probably not possible, but could you go up earlier in the week at the same time and drive one of the routes, just so you get a sense of what to expect?

I did mine at 11am or 3pm, cannot remember the exact time, also think it was a non school day could have been a Saturday. I made sure to avoid rush hour times. That worked for me and I passed.

Either way make sure you do some practice runs and best of luck.
