Just looking for some help on how private forestry works in relation to supplying the timer markets. Im looking at a business to buy (not a forestry business) and one its main dealings is with Coillte but would you guys be able to tell me do Coillte buy all the wood in the country that is cut down or do the management companies of private forests sell it on to the timber mills

Lots of private timber mills too, it's not all Coillte .

so would the mills buy direct from the private forest owners/managers? The way I had picked it up was that Coillte bought all the logs from forests (state owned & private) and sold them onto the mills etc.
