    Hi folks,

    please see example 3 in the below;

    How is the taxpayer getting relief for the €700 element of the trade charge? There is no 40% income to reduce by €700 to the 20% band to get the relief. Surely the taxpayer is being penalised here as without the tax on the trade charge of €700 they have no tax payable?

    I understand the concept of the relief on the €300 through section 382.

    Well I didn't mean to be snotty; I'd just have thought that if you want other people to help you with your study / homework, you'd post links that work rather than asking people to do google searches to find the material you want help with!
