    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experiences with DCC and commencement notices? I have to submit one for a material change of use (the option without documentation). What happens after you make the submission, do they come out and inspect the property? If so do they give you notice that they are coming or just arrive up?

    Thanks all.

    They will not give notice.
They can call out once or they can follow the job right through to completion depending on the proposed works.

Make sure all your info is correct, they cross reference the planning and areas etc

What are you changing the use of?
When you say without documentation, what do you mean?
Is there a Fire Cert for the works?

Thanks for that. It's changing from commercial to residential. No fire cert required. There are two options to submit with or without documentation depending on what category of development it is.

So if they don't give notice then presumably they make their decision by just looking at the building from the outside as there's mostly no one there and it's locked up etc?

    Cheers.

Single dwellings can come under SI365 so yes they have the option to lodge with and without documentation, essentially with or without an Assigned Certifier.

If they cannot get into site they will make contact with the building owner or the the person named as the building designer on the notice in order to carry out an inspection.

If there's no body on site mostly, when will the work get done?
