I have a 2006 cdti zafira 150bhp I paid 4.5k few years ago in immaculate condition however I did put a new gasket in it when it gave me trouble. I have looked after it and only recently had it serviced, new brakes . The engine is now given trouble so just wanting shot of it. I let the tax and nct run out and been sitting at the door for 6 weeks. Now I'm just wanting shot of it but do I sell for scrap or is it worth more to someone willing to put a bit of effort into it. If so, is it 300-500 or even 1000 or just 50 worth scrap value

Put it on done deal for 1000 Euro, drop the price by 100 or so every few days until it gets interest. Then be prepared to knock a hundred off the asking price if and when someone calls to see it. You might get a few hundred for it could be worth something to someone that could fix it themselves

Any idea what is causing the problems with the engine? The engine being repairable would have a big bearing on the price you could ask.

Unless you can tell what's wrong with the engine the car isn't worth more than scrap, it depends on how honest you are if you want to get more.

you cannot put a value your own car, its value is what someone will eventually give for it

You'd get a working zafira for a grand. It's worth a few hundred tops imo
