    Hi
I went for Nct re test of my polo 03 1.2. My first test got fail because of throttle control fault. I replaced it and went for re test. The guy told me that it is showing same problem. But he some how manged to check the emmissions and told that they are very high.

    Low idle( 710rpm) Co 0.68%
    HC 558 ppm

    High idle(2820rpm) Lamda 1.10
    Co 0.74%
    Hc 397 ppm
I did the full service of the car before re test.

It will be great if some one can help me in this.

    Thanks in advance..☺

    have a read of this

    http://www.austincc.edu/wkibbe/lambda.htm

I would start by checking you o2 sensor is operating correctly, can be done via an cheap OBD reader and free android phone software.

Then check for a vacuum leak, as you mix is too lean, so if the 02 sensor is working ok then un meter air is getting into the engine.
