    Hi,

I've been trying to call the helpline all morning but the number seems to be engaged. I've had no water pressure on my cold tap all morning which is causing me serious isssues with machine machine etc. Can someone contact me with an update on when there will be some pressure in the taps and I can get water?

    Thanks,
    James

    Hi Amy,

    Did you respond to James?

I also live in Dunluce Road and the water pressure has been awful for ages.

Sometimes the washing machine's cycle is interrupted, particularly at the weekend because of a lack of pressure.

The pressure can be bad enough to stop the cold tap upstairs from working properly, so I have to wash my teeth using water from the tap downstairs.

I do not know how the issue can be resolved, but I hope you are doing something about it.

I paid my water taxes and was happy to do so because I had hoped it would improve supply in my area.

it is an issue that I will be raising with any politician that calls to my door!

    Hoping for an early response.

    Edith.

This could be a plumbing problem, not just a pressure problem. Your attic tank should be able to store several hundred litres.

Not a plumbing problem.  Thanks for caring and responding.

In fairness an engineer did ring me back to enquire about the problem. He noted the details and explained he would go out and take a look at it. Not sure exactly what that entails but assume he investigated.

In saying that the water pressure is still extremely poor from the cold taps. I know absolutely nothing about plumbing or what taps are connected to mains water etc but I do know that the cold water taps literally have no pressure in our house.

Water pressure still terrible. Not sure if the engineer called but if he did it wasn't much use. Very disappointing to be honest.

Nobody from Irish Water contacted me directly in relation to my complaint which is similar to yours.

Pressure reduced to a dribble or nothing at all at weekends.

New water main being constructed along seafront but that will take a few years to complete.

Can't pay; won't pay! What will happen if they have to ration water? I paid my water charges and was hoping for better.
