Hi, have the option of buying a 2008 Mazda 5 at a great price. Have 3 kids so need something along the lines of this car.
Anyone have any experience with this type of car?
    Thanks in advance.

My wife has one, 08 1.8 Petrol, and loves it.
Its really only a 6.5 seater, but very versatile with the way you can configure all the seats, the sliding doors are great too.

    It's a 1.8 petrol model I'll be getting.
    What's it like on fuel?

Its not too bad on petrol, my wife puts €50 in every week and is happy with that for the travelling she does with our 2 kids.

Just to add our's has been very reliable, we've had it over 2 years and we have only had to put in 2 back shocks in that time.

The 1.8 petrol has a timing chain too so not changing timing belts to worry about.

I wonder did they buy it?
From Donedeal pricing seams to be anywhere from 3k to 8k!

We have a 2007 1.8 petrol as our only car for tge last 5 years. Combination of kids school runs, work commutes, and sometimes cross country loaded to the hilt with band equipment.

It's very reliable, very versatile interior with the fold down seats and the sliding doors are right handy.

Downsides to me would be basic interior (maybe there are fancier modles than ours) and seems a bit heavy on petrol.

    Have had zero issues mechanically.

    Good all rounder
