    Hi all,

Was planning on applying for a couple of masters programmes in Ucc that all have 2.2 minimum requirements. Long story short I ended up getting a third but was only one sixth of a percentile away from reaching the 2.2 standard. Can anyone enlighten me as to how stringent they are with the requirements or know of anyone who was in the same situation? Is it worth applying?

    Thanks

You're probably better off emailing the director of the programme you want to apply to. Some courses will take work experience into account if you don't have the required grade but it varies between faculties.

Have you considered doing a H.Dip or equivalent? A lot of those courses have more flexible minimum requirements and you can progress from there to a Masters.

As above poster said. A lot would depend on the numbers applying, so a 3h in certain cases would not be a blocker.
