I'm a member of a club down the country and get home regularly and will be playing plenty of competitions at the weekends throughout the season, but I'm keen to start practicing properly during the week in Dublin after work when the long evenings come in. Anyone got an suggestions regarding a 5 day membership? I'd be keen on somewhere that has a good short game facility so it'd be worth my while getting out for an hour or so a couple of evenings a week. Living in Harold's Cross and ideally looking for no more than a 20 (max 30) minute drive in the evenings.

Depends on your budget, but off the top of my head 5 day in Edmondstown or maybe pavilion membership in Grange.

Carton House PGA centre is only 120 for 3 months I think. Woodbrook in south Dublin has good practice facilities too under pavilion membership.

+1 on the Airport golf center. Amazing deal for the short game practice. Bit of a trek from Harold's Cross tho

Most of the clubs near Harolds cross (thinking Castle/Elm Park/Milltown) would be quite expensive for 5 day. They tend to use it as a stepping stone to full membership so it usually has a joining fee etc.

Social/pavillion membership could be the best option depending on what you get for it and how much of a discount you get on green fees etc.

Castle might be a good option, they have a par 3 (vally) course to that pavillion members get the use of

    found this on their site

Great range and facilities at Luttrelstown. 1300 bucks though for 5 day
