Hey,

I'm looking for a new TV, at least 55" with a budget of £800 (I will be buying in sterling). At the moment I'm considering the Sony KD55XD7005, but I'd probably go with the KD55XD8005 if it was available to buy online (I prefer the stand). I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there any chance of you getting more stock of the KD55XD8005 in and making it available online?

2. Apart from aesthetics, what's the difference between the 7005 and 8005?

3. Are there any other makes/models you would recommend for this budget? Bearing in mind it has to be available for purchase online?

Thanks in advance.

I was gonna post a similiar post, but if it's ok I'll just comment on this and maybe it might help you.

Hi,

Which TV would you choose from the link below (richersounds.ie)

Select options LG, Panasonic & Samsung between £800 & £1,000

Leaning towards the Samsung UE55KS7000 but an open to suggestions.

Quick question, from the looks of it, it looks well "future proof" hdmi 2.2, HDR, etc

Hey Ryaller.

The 8005 runs at XR400Hz, whereas the 7005 runs at XR200Hz.
The 7005 is direct light and the 8005 is Edge light.
(Edge LED keeps a slim depth but relies on more processing for even lighting. Direct LED is the most basic and has the deepest depth)
7005 has 1 scart and the 8005 does not have any.
Also the stands are different.

A few small difference between the two screens.

I'm not sure if the 8005 will become available for shipping again as the NEW screens from Sony are due around April/May time.

The 55XD7005 is currnently priced at £779.00 with £6.99 shipping and includes our 6 year guarantee.

You could maybe look at the LG 55UH770 which is priced at £799.00 with £6.99 shipping and includes our 6 year guarantee.

I hope this is of help.

Let me know what you think.
