Some landlords are demanding (and getting) money upfront

Reference year for National Reserve so reckon conacre will be pricey this year

Every shower of rain seems to bring another wave of enquiries for my bit, I thought that only land without entitlements would be in demand

National Reserve opens this year so if land OP or anyone renting is on the conacre that land will command a preimum for lads who want to use it to get entitlments under the NR. Land was making up €400 an acre in 15 in South Tipp; most was over 300.

So do u mean if I take rented land this year on a lease I'll get the entitlements till that land? And that's what's pushing up the price cause people bid more because they'll get some money back on the entitlements or am I way off the mark?

i have spoken with the owner of the land my next door neighbour, who said that he never recieved the payment until the end of the year, that to say to the auctioneer that what is called hereabouts in south co.limerick, the two mightys will suffice, if the auctioneer refused this tell him to consult him the owner, i must inquire around the prices of letting around here

this piece i am on about is useless to most people, what really makes it of value to us is there are roughly three acres ajoining which the owner gives to us free, the auctioneer tries to use this to raise the price
