    Hi,
I'm interested in getting Sky Q and I'd like to know if I will definitely get a hybrid LNB or do I have to wait and hope the installer will facilitate me.  I don't want it if I can't get the hybrid.  Will the hybrid LNB have 4 or 6 outputs? Also I'm traveling for work a lot this month and want to know what the average wait time is for installation in the Ennis area.  Any assistance appreciated.

you should post this on the sky forum, it has 6 outputs and you have to specifically ask for it.

Thanks.  I'm a newbie and I realised later that it would be better on the Sky forum and posted my question.  Not happy with the response though so waiting for clarification.  Thanks again.

Yes just saw reply and not very helpful!! Do you really need sky q ie is it for ultra hd? It has no rf out so cant be viewed in another room unless you take muti room sub.

Because freesat is not really for Ireland, sky Ireland are reluctant to say a hybrid is available. In uk you ring installer the night before and they come with the hybrid. I have seen others on here get the hybrid. Cancelling can be very persuasive. Its got six outlets and either of these will work the sky q box then 4 spare ie to match the old quad lnb.

Hybrids are getting cheaper by the day, 19 stg on ebay, were 40.

Crazy policy from Sky Ireland as I've said on the other thread.  Thank God there are other shows in town.  Maybe I'll just buy a couple of android boxes

OP, if you have any non Sky sat receivers connected before Q install or an Eir Sport multiroom subscription you are entitled to a hybrid LNB.
I got Q installed the week it launched & got a Hybrid LNB installed a few days later after contacting both Sky & the installation company.
Sky need to authorise the use of a hybrid LNB before installation.

Thanks.  I've ordered for installation next week and I've told them I want the hybrid but still getting the same no guarantee guff.  I'll see how we get on with the installer.
