I am helping a cousin who lives abroad to sort out her documentation. However I cannot find her father's record of birth. He was born definitely after 1915, probably 1916 but there are no records at all for anyone in the Castlerea district. Where to now? Her father emigrated aged 14 and never came home....... she would lilke an Irish passport and whilst I have our grandfather's birth certificate, there is a missing link.

Anyone any ideas about where I go now?

    Thanks

Familysearch.org seems to be acting up at the moment, but you could search there and get the quarter he was born in, then using that get a cert. from the GRO.

If you would like to give us his name, other people can try looking. It's probably a transcription error.
