    Hi,

I'm trying to tune in analogue channels on my PCI DVB-T/S/C tuner.
    It's a dvbsky t9580. - http://www.dvbsky.net/Products_T9580.html

Does anyone know if it's possible to tune in free analogue channels from my cable coming into the house.
I get free analogue SD channels - http://www.crossan.ie/index.php/cable-television-overview/faq/

I'd like to be able to view them on my pc using Dvbviewer, anyone done this before?

I was able to tune in a load of encrypted channels but not what i was looking for.

    Thanks

    You can't.

A DVB tuner isn't capable of tuning analogue channels. You'd need an analogue or hybrid tuner.

    • One channel for DVB-T/T2/C and one channel for DVB-S2
    • High Performance Hybrid DVB-T/T2/C tuner/demodulator
    • High Performance DVB-S2 tuner/demodulator
    • High Speed 2.5Gbps PCIe interface
    • Low profile design
    • Support Versatile Windows Softwares
    • Support Linux VDR, i.e. CNVDR

So hybrid in the description doesn't mean to what your referring to? I need an analogue tuner card?

If it supported analogue you'd be looking for PAL-I in the specs. Since that's not mentioned, it looks like a pure digital card with no analogue support. Hybrid in your case seems to suggest DVB-S (satellite) and DVB-C (cable).

You should get RTE 1 and radio stations unencrypted on DVB-C from cable in Dublin ? (at least confirming the thing is working)
