    Hi guys,

Any recommendations on running groups around.

I say I'm beginner but if it's possible to below that I am. Extremely unfit and a bit to much in the heavy side and quite anxious to start on my own.

Wouldn't mind meeting people either as I literally know barely any people in Carlow!

paulies boot camp (have a look at his Facebook page) has a running group set up for all levels. The boot camp itself is excellent as well and is great to meet new people

    Hi roisin Clare
I've been to a few of those that are mentioned above & for a total total beginner I would recommend either adrenaline or the fit for life group at st.laurence. Adrenaline runs 6 week blocks & for those that have never run it is introduced at a very gentle & achievable pace. SLOTS also run a couch to 5k program every few months, if you're on face book, check out their page. Their program is also very achievable well attended. Price wise you're looking at 60 for the 6 weeks with adrenaline, & 3€ a week for a single person or €5/week for a family with SLOTs. If you like been outdoors & exercise is your thing as oppose to just running, fit2go might interest you, lots of variety & plenty of fresh air! 60 for 6 weeks too. Supreme fitness at eire og also offer super value in personal training which might suit if you wanted 1 on 1 training to guide you. Loads round really, have heard good things about the all the others too. Some of them will offer taster sessions on commencement of a new block or it would be worth making contact with them & asking can you try out a class before you commit.
