So, my elderly mother recently received a small inheritance, it was an aunt of my late father.

It's over the CAT allowance and she's fretting over how to declare it. I've no problem calculating the CAT due but just wondering how to deal with revenue on this. Getting her to register for ROS or MOS is not really a viable option. Can I just download a form and help her fill it out? if so, which form?

    Thanks.

Google the IT38s - only available in certain circumstances. Most are required to file electronically.

There is a para there about filing a "Short IT38" that may help you out. If that doesn't work out, e.g. if you don't satisfy the conditions for using that paper filing option, could you do the online work for your mother? I do all that kind of stuff for my mother without too many issues.

If she had a laptop I could set up ROS and walk her through it but she doesn't.

Can I have more than one cert on mine or am I risking being a non authorised agent?
