Just looking for some advice. I have purchased a 600i double sided boiler stove. When I open the door to put in wood or turf smoke pours out through the vents above the door. I have tried closing the vents but makes no difference. It's got so bad now I have smoke damage on my walls above the stove.

    Please help!!!!

Sounds like your chimney isn't drawing the smoke up the chimney.
You either have a very poor draught in your chimney or there is something blocking the smoke from leaving the stove.
    Your chimney could be blocked.
The baffle plate could be fitted incorrectly.
The stove and connecting flue may be fitted incorrectly.
Extractors and dryers etc on could also effect the draught.
It is most likely not the stove itselfs fault but one of the above.

Just spotted this one. We have a stovax . Had similar problem . We installed an extractor fan on the chimney . Subsequently it packed in. Here are two tips. In the stovax you can remove the top baffel for cleaning. I do it twice a year. It can get very dirty. Reduces the draw if there is a lot of soot . Make sure to put it back correctly . I buckled mine. When loading the fire turn it up to max to get draw going. Then just open the door an inch or two leave for 20 seconds then slowly open the door. It works for me hope it works for you.
