Double odds first goal scorer

Ok so, I would like to get some idea on how I can approach this.

Basically, I saw PP had an offer on the Man U vs Southampton match which is double odds on the 1st goal scorer should he then score another goal in the 90 minutes.

Good offer I thought, then placed a bet on Ibra to score at odds 7/2. Told my friends about the offer and was asked to get him another one. So off I went, placed another bet in the same bookie.

On the evening I said to my wife about the bet and asked about her opinion and then she said grand, get me a bet. I went off and got another bet on Ibra for her.

All of these 3 bets were placed on saturday.

So on Sunday morning, I decided to place another bet on Ibra for myself again as I just had a feeling that he may score.

Also got a bet for my dad on the Sunday morning.

So in total that is 25 euro per bet. 2 for myself, 1 for my wife, 1 for my dad and 1 for a friend. All bought by me.

Here is the thing, when I went to collect the winning today (assume you all know then results man u won 3-2 and Ibra scored 2 goals). The 1st ticket was fine, i was given double the odds on the winning. But when my wife tried to collect her ticket she was told that the same ticket was bought 5 times in the same bookies. They will only give her single odds.

The good people on Boards., what is your opinion on this? Do I have any come back?

It seems unfair to me.

The offer is max 25 per person.

The fact that all 5 bets were 25 makes me think you knew that already and chanced your arm. If your looking to do this go to different shops.

You could try chance your arm collecting them in different shops.

But you have no comeback here the shop is correct.

I have placed those bets before and know that 25 euro is the max that will qualify for the double odds. Hence 25 euro stake per the ticket.
I am not saying that I do not know the 25 is the stake. What I am saying though is that it seems unfair that PP are claiming the 5 bets were written by the same person hence will not pay double odds on the other 4 bets.

For the record, I did try to collect in a different shop and apparently they have made notes on their system to state that these 5 bets were placed by the same person and the offer will not apply to the remaining 4 bets.

So Can you not place a bet for your family, friends, etc? I obviously did not alter my writing style as I had never thought that this would be a problem when you hit a winner.

My problem is that they seemed fine taking your money and I have no doubt that they will not give a crap if your bet loses. But when you hit a winner they will try to use all sort of rules to their advantage.

I am planning to take this further and will challenge the management.

    RANT OVER.

But sure you weren't placing the bets for the rest of your family. You were clearly placing them for yourself anyway and just coming up with some sort of a weird story for it.

How weird is it to place a good shout bet for family members? If you could enlighten me I would be much appreciated.

Is there any rule that says one can not place a bet for his/her family members?

Baffling what you're trying to accomplish here.

You tried to cheat a system which is specifically in place to prevent people like you from profiting off what would be the most obvious, basic loophole I could think of.

Give it up. You literally haven't got a leg to stand on in this case. That you think you have any sort of comeback on this is laughable and embarrassing.

I'm actually annoyed I wasted my own time reading this thread and replying on it (twice) but I honestly felt obliged to.

Forget about "taking this further", you won't get anywhere. As others have said, you were obviously trying to beat "max bet €25" limit and were copped. The only way to get away with this is to go to several different PP shops or get others to place and collect a series of €25 bets on your behalf (written out by themselves, obvs) in the same shop.

Yeah, if you'd placed them in different shops it wouldn't have been an issue, if you'd only done 2 bets you'd probably have been grand, but that was far too many. I'm surprised they copped though, it mustn't be a busy shop, that said, you've no chance of getting anywhere by taking this furthrr, moral of the story, don't be so fecking lazy and walk around a few shops next time (or if that's not an option, the same offer was online with pp and betfair, and possibly others).
