The Damned's debut album is 84 in the UK top 100, new at 8 in the indie chart and straight in at no 3 in the vinyl chart - 40 years after its original release. Good to see as at least this time they own the rights (well vanian and scabies do)

Does the captain not get a cut? He's still touring with them.

Scabies and Vanian bought the label rights when Stiff went under - they all get their recording rights. Sensible didnt write anything on that album so he wouldn't get writing credits I'd assume. The story is he was offered a share of the label rights but he didnt want to buy. Nowadays he's using it as an excuse not to do an original lineup reunion, even though he gets whats due and was offered a share. Hard to say whats true, but I got that info off rat directly
