Going on holiday for a week in April with my gf. Just wondering what sort of things we could get up to or where's the best nightlife etc?

take a 5 hour catamarran trip.
visit lorro park at puerto de la cruz, mount teide is worth the trip but book the cable car in advance to save the queues. If you want to walk to the peak you need a permit.

    where are you staying?

Loro Parque is one of the few places left in the world where they think it's ok to use killer whales in shows, keeping them in tiny tanks. Don't visit it, please. Siam Park is the same people and they also keep dolphins there. Horrible conditions.

There's plenty to do in Tenerife. Masca is beautiful for walking, as is Teide. The diving can be amazing. The boat trips are good too.

For nightlife you'll probably end up in Veronica's at some stage even though you shouldn't! But it can be good fun and is reasonably priced. Over in Los cristianos check out Punta Cana for a more 'local' experience.

Just to echo the post above. Please do not visit Loro Parque or the other hateful place. The sooner they closenthe better.

I visited Golf Sur last December and the only advice I can give is don't.

We did a jeep safari which is a good day out. It gives you a good view of the island.
There is also a very good bus system so you can go to other towns quite cheaply.

I went last year on a couples holiday, loads to do during the day even if its only the usual walking up and down the strip etc. The chinese restaurant called "Imperial Tai Pan" is unreal, a bit more pricy then most over there but you get exactly what you pay for.

Kaluna Beach Club is a brilliant day out, you pay for your sunbed which is a double sunbed for the both of you, cushions etc. but the cost of the bed goes toward your bar tab, so 50 euro for a bed gives you 50 euro to spend on drinks, its just to ensure they get their worth from you haha. I never went without a drink in my hand, good music and the infinity pool is quality.

Nightlife wise, I wouldnt even bother listening to the deals that sound so good that you cant turn them down. We done it for the first two nights and even if they promise you 'top shelf spirits' they 100% arent.

We went to a bar called Joyce which is down toward Papagayo beach club, ACTUAL proper spirits, although theyre more expensive its still reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. The head barman is Irish, a young lad called Paul and as soon as he hears your accent hell look after ya, I have the hangover memories to prove it...haha. Ended up going out with all the staff one night aswell, pretty random haha.

Another place called Burn on the corner had decent drinks aswell, like Joyce youll pay a bit more then the other bars but your getting proper spirits and it really is worth it.

Go for a cocktail in Papagayo while the sun sets, the cocktails are really nice and you wont get a better view mate. Enjoy it!

Hi, all the fun happens in Playa de las Américas. Lots of live concerts, pubs, noise and young people (for me too young – 25 y.o in average). You can also check what’s going on around  C.C. Veronica's.
