I'm curious how much it would cost to get an outdoor tap installed. You can see the location it would be installed in the below pick toward the top right of the picture beside the drain pipe.

Your not just paying for the tap.
Your paying for plumbers tax, overheads, insurance, accountants, van, VAT, travel time, getting parts & expertise.

€120 to €150 would be the norm.
But often plumbers operate at a loss on small jobs and only charge €75

You see a small tap, plumbers see reality (sometimes)

I've often gone to replace a broken shower. It may be something simple like the trip switch is down or an airlock. Depending on how far I'd travelled I might not charge at all.
I often tell people over the phone how to get their shower working if it's something small. They usually become customers for life.

Well if someone can do a quality job for 75 I can be flexible on timing. Feel free to PM.
    Not a problem,
I'll fit the tap, quality job guaranteed for €75

But connecting tap to water supply will be extra. 😇

Hey mate. Just wondering how much you ended up paying and who you got to do the tap? Pretty sure from the pic we are in the same development, so should be an identical job. Cheers!

Still haven't got it done. Got put on the long finger, but if you work it out let me know. I'm in RCP.

If you do both live in the same spot you might get a bit of a discount getting both at the same time.

Not me but if you get a plumber to do both jobs at the same time you might get a discount.

Yeah good idea. Will PM if I get anywhere with it but suspect it will get put on the long finger too. Have just got a connector for the kitchen (https://www.woodies.ie/garden-and-outdoor/watering/hose-fittings/hozelock-indoor-round-tap-connector-818495) to get us through this next hot week anyway.

That’s the funniest post I’ve read in a while.

If you make a loss at 75 Euro you really need to look at your overheads.

    What’s the tap for?

You could get a water butt

For outdoor taps, can the water be turned on and off by an outdoor stopcock as have moved into a house recently with a few stopcocks dotted around underneath the ground outside and am thinking were they turned off by the previous owner. See picture for what I mean. The valve on the pipe below the taps are definitely in open position that is already checked. Also what would be a good tool to try and turn these?
