Are you still looking for a nuc? An Irish guy on the UK bee keepers forum has some for sale. I've asked for the ad and will post it here.

Note that these are Buckfast bees and not always recommended due to issues with cross breeding and aggression.

Nope. It's a general Irish bee sales facebook page. It's public for anyone to sell what they want. It's these guys selling them: http://www.irishbuckfast.com/

I was just coming back to update my post that they were buckfast!

where abouts do you live......I had some available, but there has been an early demand and I think I am near the end of what overwintered nucs I will have available this spring. I still have to go finish going through my hives to see what is really surplus and it will be at least end of March or early April before I will know for sure what's what, but I think I might have an extra one.
    PM... me with your details.

Imported bees bring imported diseases. Anyhow the best Bee for our climate is apis mellifera mellifera the Black Irish Bee.

Where are you based? Have you done a beginners course?
I may have a nuc but not for another month. My strongest hive is preparing to swarm already!
I'm going to make up two nucs from it.
