How long has she been like that? I had a similar ewe at 6am. Had made no progress by 8.30. I then assisted and pulled 2 lambs out of her. Maybe she would have eventually lambed herself. Lambs were positioned OK.

Well keep good eye on bag in case it's bursts and lambs are left unopened. She must be doing lambing of some description. Next hour or two is vital. Keep watch.

Yeah keep an eye on her lambs might be twisted or coming backwards! If she doesn't lamb herself ye may give her a hand! Good luck!

She's lambing. Catch her and try a few fingers in her see what you feel. If there's a foul smell off her your in bother.

Just lambed a first time Hogget whose bags were out at 17.30 but no signs of the lambs by 20.00. She wasn't showing any contractions. She was just very tight and the lambs were very big. The first one was very tough to get out. I'd say she would definitely have had problems pushing him out.

I wouldn't be able to wait that long I'd say ;)
Once I see lambing starting, they have an hour. If I don't see progress by the end of the hour I'd investigate...
Hard to know what to do at times tho...

I sometimes wonder would they have just lambed themselves anyway. Once the bags are out is there a deadline by which the lambs will be dead do you think?

Had a ewe here few years back and noticed here lambing one morning, she didn't look healthy and i was looking after our new born baby, rang the father to call up and look at her. I went away for the day was home bout 5 that evening she was just after lambing 1 and another on the way. The father forgot to check her. Long story short I.d leave them as long as possible. Wait till they're tired pushing
