    Hi All
I have problem with Samsung American fridge .freezer part not cold enough hovering around 0deg . Have spoken to some engineers who have said it could be gas problems however no one wants to look at it around Sligo area . One person has said it could cost €450 for gas &compressor . Fridge part is still cold
I have done diagnostic on front Pannel and all comes back ok . About 7 years old
    Thanks

plug it out for 24 hours with the doors open, they are prone to clogging up with ice, you could also remove the bottom plinth underneath the doors and see if it is clogged up with dust, if so clean it . if the compressor motor is faulty you should hear it run for approx. 15 seconds and then trip out before it makes an attempt to run again. if it is doing that forget about repairing it. after defrosting and it runs ok for about a fortnight and the problem re occurs the defrosting element is probably faulty

They used to have issues with the cooling system freezing up.

Have a look at back left and right corners of fridge - see if they are iced over. If so, you may have the fault many have.

Samsung were offering a free first fix, but this may be over.

Easy enough to fix if this is the issue - details are online - Basically its defreezing the block of ice that has built up - this can take a few days naturally, but following the online instructions and using hairdryer or hot water, it will take a couple of hours.

    Or maybe its just bunched!

    Thanks red ace
It had ice build up on it before as the probe for the heater element was faulty so I have checked for ice build up and this is not problem

you will have to determine if the compressor motor is running or not, if its not running the windings are either burned out or it is not getting a supply from the pcb, if it is running but not making ice on the freezing coils in the freezer section it has leaked refrigerant
