Best quality & value... Mattress Mike or groupon.ie??

I would like to buy a good pocket sprung memory mattress. From looking online I think the best value options are Mattress Mike or Groupon.ie. I imagine the mattresses on done deal are spurious?

On Mattress Mike’s site this catches my eye. https://www.mattressmick.ie/products/kinsella-1000-pocket-memory-mattress But they would charge extra for delivery.

I’m not familiar with the groupon.ie website… they seem to offer amazing value… but are they of any quality? I was looking at this mattress on the groupon site https://www.groupon.ie/deals/bonnell-sprung-mattress-2
I would love to hear of other people's experiences with the above
    Thank you for reading

You can buy a pocket sprung mattress in Ikea.

I sleep on this mattress with an Ikea sprung base. It is a pretty decent mattress if you ask me.

This comes rolled up so you can bring it home yourself in the car.

They have a more expensive one too.

However, I think this one is not roll-packed.

These do not have memory foam, but you can get a memory foam 'topper'. Think carefully about whether you want a memory foam mattress. They don't necessarily suit everybody and they will probably feel hotter than an ordinary mattress (because you are sinking into a lump of plastic basically).

A 'bonell sprung' mattress which is what the groupon mattress you have there is, is not a pocket sprung mattress. If you want pocket sprung, do not buy this.

I have the most experience with the Ikea mattress. This is not to say that the Mattress Mick mattress is not a very fine mattress, it may well be better than the Ikea model. But either way, I would go out there and have a look and make sure it is what you want. (incidentally, Mick has some roll-pack mattresses too.)

One other thing - the IKEA mattress does not seem to be intended to be used on a flat base. It is intended to be used on a sprung base or on slats. If I am buying a mattress for an unsprung base, I always buy it from Mick.

    - they recommend ringing them and asking what you are looking for. Delivery is free to Dublin I think.

Hope to be in the market for a new one soon so plan on giving them a call but do't have any experience dealing with them.

Always Always Always try a mattress before you buy it.
Even go to a different store to lay on it but try it as they can vary massively in style quality comfort and feeling
