Hi there. I'm looking to change from my Mazda 5. I have 3 kids but don't necessarily need a full 7 seater. The mazda has 6 seats and fab sliding doors. But it's wicked for fuel consumption. Thinking of the Ford Grand C max as it is a smaller version , has sliding doors and seat layout is similar. But I wonder what people's opinions of it are for driving/space etc. Many thanks

Driving - brilliant, although the turning radius is gigantic.

Space inside - not so much of it.

Lovely car to drive. Plenty of space in the C-Max so the grand C-Max should have loads to. Best way to find out is to try one for yourself. The back two seat are really only kids seats do.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

As far as I know Mazda 5 and Grand CMax were of similar design and size(both were in the Ford family). We have the 1.6tdci (115bhp-uk version titanium) Grand CMax and its a great drive. Really comfortable. Av.45mpg. Mixed driving.Only negative which is in all these type of cars is the boot size when using both 3rd row seats. If you have a buggy or shopping you have to leave one of the 3rd row seats down which is no biggy really if you only have 3 kids. Obviously if getting a second hand 1.6tdci you have to make sure of service history-see numerous threads on this.

I know this is an old thread, but did you bring your car in from the UK? I was looking at 1 year old C-max in the UK and I'm wondering about the warranty.
