    Starting on March 5th
Based on the 1979 novel and movie, the time-travel drama stars Freddie Stroma as H.G. Wells who travels to the modern day in pursuit of Jack the Ripper. The cast also includes Josh Bowman, Genesis Rodriguez, Nicole Ari Parker, Will Chase, and Jennifer Ferrin.

Man, time travel is very 'in' at the moment; lost count the number of recent shows that involve time travel.

As for this, looks OK, very rigidly procedural by the looks of things with a limited premise, so too early to tell.

Was looking forward to this but it was very disappointing there was nothing in the double episode pilot that hooked me.

The film was good fun but all that needed to do was fill 100 minues, not a thousand.

I've really enjoyed the first few episodes. They've set up a nice cat and mouse game between HG and John, they've set up an intriguing jigsaw for the season with lots of mystery and missing pieces, and they're not milking the sh*te out of a will-they-won't-they romance - they just went for it (so kudos for breaking with tradition). Jane and HG have a really great chemistry, which helps...

It got interesting this week and the story expanding into other times back to the 80's this week.

Nah, not feeling it nor warming to the characters.

I'll keep watching it for the rest of the season, but time will run out for this show once the current episodes finish airing.

For those who enjoyed it & maybe want to complete season 1, the final episodes (up to 12) have appeared elsewhere

If anyone is interested, the season was self contained up until the last 3 minutes.

There was a dip in quality (and my interest) when they moved away from time machine stuff and into Dr. Moreau territory mid-season but they brought it back to time travel at the end.

The last episode was great, but it ended on a twist and a cliffhanger.
The last few scenes were in 2021 so it looks like they had 5 years of content planned.

We'll never find out what happens now.

    Shrug.

Last episode was very good, but breaking the time travel trope whereby
your other self is also in the past
was disappointing. Have they never seen Back to the Future?

I enjoyed the series and was getting used to the characters, and the cliff hanger was good.

Ultimately it is forgettable, but it's biggest fault was the one for all occasion facial expression of the main character. Is that a bad smell he has just noticed or is he distraught. It was hard to tell.

Finally got to finish it. Enjoyed it, another season set in the future would have been good but I think it would have tapped out at that.

A TV remake of the original movie would probably have been a better choice.
