    Hi all,

Occasionally the modem seems to hang - connection dies and router is unreachable via ip. Lights on modem are normal.

    Recovers in about 5 mins.

Pain in the arse ... Any known issues?

I haven't noticed that but I've noticed the 5GHz band goes awol sometimes! I even lost it completely the other night until I rebooted..

    This is the F2000 model..

Yes the huawei hg659b crashes every few days. Have a 350Mb/s FTTH connection from siro on it and it's a real pain. Total junk modem. The eir F2000 is the same modem rebranded for eir and also does the same, needs power cycle often if doing heavy downloads or using torrents

Isn't this router from 2013? Can you change the router to an alternative or does it need to be the one supplied by Vodafone?

Vodafone still use the 658c for non lightspeed, not the same as the F2000(659b).
