You might have a 1961 straight dexta if this website is correct. The dual clutch appears to have been an option.

The correct serial number will be stamped vertically on the bellhouse flange on the same side as the injector pump. On every large casting there is stamped a combination of numbers and letters that relate to the month and year of production of that particular casting. There is a website called fordsontractorpages which has all the dates, detail and interpretation of the various stampings.

Id be slow to take information from tractor data as being gospel.
In the past ive looked up stuff on it for things we have had in the yard and have had the manual/leaflet for them in my hand and found differences in them. different engines and hp etc
They might be giving american specs on stuff , who knows

Yeah it's mostly American spec as you say. Woefully amateur. One of our tractors isn't even listed on it and it from one of the big manufacturers

Apologies for jumping in here, but does anyone by any chance have or know where i might pick up a log book for a ford 3000?

Tried fordsontractorpages and links dont seem to be working did the straight dexta come with the option of dual clutch on them or was it only the supers

Live drive was available as an option from, I think, 1957. Price foir the dual clutch and live hydraulics was £33, ten shillings. Also included in the package was a comfort seat, drawbar and proof meter.

www.fordsontractorpages.nl is the full address of the website I referred to earlier. There will be a Dexta link in there with an ocean of information on Dextas. There is a thread on serial numbers and casting codes in addition to all other Dexta related information. A contributer there named Brian Dye seems to be the expert about all things Dexta.
