House Buying: letter of indemnity

Our solicitor wants us to sign a letter stating that we are buying a house against her advice.

She did advise that we update the land registry map as the house has an unusual structure. We asked the bank and insurance company about this, but they did not think it necessary so we told her to proceed as we can update the land registry afterwards.

Now she wants us to sign a letter saying we are proceeding against her advice. The letter doesn’t state what her advice is and makes it sound like we are ignoring important legal opinion.

Is this justified and can we reasonably refuse to sign.

Moderation: As per the charter, legal advice cannot be offered here. You're already paying one legal professional here, if you're unhappy with them, many others are available.
