Does anyone know how many people fail the medical exam and for what reason? I'm sceptical that they will find something weird in my blood or urine even tho i feel perfectly fine :D cheers

As far as I know the majority of complete failures in the medical are for eyesight related issues. A lot of guys with deficiencies in their vision dont even realise their eyesight is bad. Color vision catches out quite a few as well.

    Other things include:

    Hearing.
Irregular heart beat (you will be referred to a specialist for further tests).
History of respiratory conditions like Asthma.
    Fallen arches.
    Slight curvature of the spine.

There is also a detailed questionnaire where you outline your entire medical history and family history.

Is colour blindness a straightforward fail?

Would they disqualify automatically for flat feet? It's no longer a thing a in so many militaries across the world now. I passed fitness test and are actually confident about my interview but I am just worrying a lot now that I heard they don't let you in because of fallen arches. Do they make exceptions? Do they look at others things or find out how it affects you? .

As for the eyesight - there are so many soldiers wearing glasses. :l
