    Hi Folks,

I'll be in Athlone Saturday 25th Feb, staying in the Sheraton.

Just wondering if anyone knows a pub that might be showing the Mayo v Roscommon game (eir Sport 2 hd) @ 7pm?

    Thanks In Advance

The Sheraton usually shows all the gaa but go across the river to the Roscommon side and the snug or the castle inn will definitely have the game on.

Grand, Athlone are full of Mayo people too. We have got so use to patting them on the back every September. A lot of volunteers are on suicide watch around that time.

Ah will ya shtap! :D There are more Mayo (and Galway) flags flying around Athlone than there is for Westmeath and Athlone Town AFC in any given yeaor.

Shure , the Reeal Rossies will be at the game anyway. Shure, the Mayo man will be asking for a perfect diving spot after the Rossies batter them at the weekend anyway :p

The Shannon cant be any wetter than the Hyde was last year when we played Mayo :P

I'll be in Castlebar myself, but travelling in hope rather than expectation.

Ah. We have a fancy new turf now.

Like I said, Real Rossies shall be going. :D (we haven't a hope in hell, but, sure, "This time" this August Bank Holiday, Ahlookit, we will be in Croke Park as Connacht Champions.........................:p

    Both! :D

Plenty of Mayo heads in Athone. "Up Mayo" and "Mayo for Sam" and a flag with the Mayo crests give it away
