Hi Guys, I'm thinking of getting a new CD player. The door on my Marantz is going. Any suggestions?

Hi Dessie8.

Sorry to hear you Marantz CD player is on the blink :(

If you wanted to stick with Marantz you could look at the CD5005 which is currently priced at £169.00

Or the CD6006 coming in at £264.00 but currently out of stock

Let me know what you think.

Any questions drop me a post.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the difference?
Is there a big difference in sound quality or is it longevity?

Hey Dessie8.

The CD6006 won a 5 star review in What HiFi and several other awards.

The CD6006 uses some different internal components which helps with the sound reproduction. (Featuring a new circuit layout, specially selected components and more rigid feet,)
The CD6006 has a USB port, the 5005 does not.
The CD6006 will display CD text, the 5005 will not.

Both are very good units but if you can stretch to it the CD6006 is the one to go for.

I hope this is of help.

Let me know what you think

I would like to get this please, CD6006 in black. I rang the store and they said it's in stock but are not sure if they can ship it. I would like to get it ASAP if possible.

Hi Dessie8,

Unfortunately the CD6006 has dropped in price and we are unable to ship this item. We can certainly reserve one for you but it would need to be collected from the store.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Kind regards

David
