~€5000 Budget - Recommend best bang for buck...

Time to change the car soon and as such am on the look out for something to replace my ancient paddy spec windey windows MK4 Golf :rolleyes:

Armed with a budget of around €5k and considering I spent the last 10 years driving the above I am on the look out for a nicely spec'd car and if it had some gadgets to go along with it too that would be a bonus.

The 9-3 has caught my eye as being good value for money as lot of them seem have leather seats and a Multi Function steering wheel (I know this might seem almost standard to some people but bear in mind I'm coming from a car with no electric windows/mirrors/anything...) Although I don't need the practicability of a 4 door/estate.

The criteria is as follows:

• reliable
• relatively cheap to run (Current car is diesel, although mileage these days probably doesn't necessarily justify it so am open to either Petrol or Diesel as long as it isn't an alcoholic on the stuff)
• spec-wise I am thinking (In order of most wanted):
  • HID Headlights
  • Multi Function Steering Wheel
  • Leather
  • Bluetooth
  • Auto Lights
  • Sunroof maybe.
• RWD would be great although not critical but has to be a manual

That is not a definite list and there is probably more that I'd like but haven't thought of but feel free to throw it out there. The top 3 items listed would be most desired I suppose.

I know €5k isn't a lot in motoring terms, however, bearing in mind the above what is the best spec'd car money can buy for that sort of budget?

On a budget of 5k, s40 around 08 have leather, multi fuction, dual climate, sensors etc I think. Brother has a 06 one
