    Hi,

Just wanting to see if any of the Android lads that frequent these threads can help on this one.

We have a number of Android devices, ranging from Asus nexus tablets, to Samsung phone's.

Anyway, say for example if I'm searching for something on my phone, then that search also appears on the nexus, or my wife's phone, and basically i want to stop this happening.

Do i need to remove my gmail/Google accounts from relevant devices? I have went in tj settings and disabled search sync data via account, but it's still syncing.

    It's doing my head in.

No, I wouldn't like my Internet searches appearing on my wife's phone either...:)

You could use incognito mode (private browsing)

Also, in advanced sync settings in Chrome preferences there is an option not to sync history. Not sure but this may help.

Ask your wife to setup her own Gmail account.

Go to your Google account settings and turn off all switches responsible for saving searches and browsing etc (the section is called "My activity").

I did it 2 years ago. No issues after.

    This.

Also the sync in the account settings can be separate to the sync in Chrome itself.

I gets scary when you go into the settings and see you can listen back your own voice searches

Why anyone in their right mind would have their Google account logged in to any other device they don't have control over is beyond me.
