    Hi all,

I will have a 10hr layover (05:30 -> 15:30) in Dubai in mid June. I am thinking of leaving the airport to see some parts of the city. Could anyone advise if this is possible? Are the queues for immigration (going out) and security (coming back) crazy long? Any recommendations for some good things to see that are not too far from the airport?

    Thanks,
    Adam

I did this flying to Australia with Emirates, was put up in the Emirates airport hotel overnight. On arrival at unholy hour to the hotel first port of call was the concierge desk and found a sunrise tour of Dubai, took in the Palm Jumeirah island, Atlantis hotel, burj al Arab Jumeirah, and burj Khalifah. Done dusted in 2.5hours and back on the plane for Brisbane. The layover is definitely needed after 8hours in a 777 & in preparation for however many hours to gold coast

I once spend 5 hours in a snooze cube in DXB

Not a bad way to pass the time
